Walk into Dietel图书馆 and you will find an active and thriving space where learning and engagement is visible.

Ask students what their favorite place on campus is and many of them will answer quickly and enthusiastically with “the library.” This is in large part due to the work of the 图书馆领导委员会. 部分志愿者, 部分顾问, 和所有与书有关的东西的部分爱好者, the members of the LLC take great care to help ensure that the library is a thriving and welcoming space on campus. LLC members work together in groups as well as with our librarians to figure out what their unique contributions might be.

Our first floor is set up for collaboration with a variety of seating options. It is not unusual to see 类 working in groups at our tables, 学生们一起在白板前学习, 或者在壁炉旁惬意地看一本好书. Our second floor houses our extensive print collection and offers a quiet study environment. In the basement, you will find both our makerspace as well as our archives. Dietel图书馆 goes beyond the walls of our physical space. We offer a wide array of databases to support our students and faculty in their research endeavors, ebooks and audiobooks so that we can enjoy stories in many different formats, and streaming services to help bring the world into the classroom.

Stephanie Sides ’73 and Page Starzinger ’76 each made key contributions to plan, 发射, 资助艾玛大学的新写作中心. 都是职业作家, they unknowingly united their passion for the written word in order to ensure a broad array of opportunities and support for student writers.

Makerspace

Melligeri创新教室

The Melligeri创新教室 was built through the generosity of Aravind and Mai Melligeri P'17 in honor of their daughter Megha's senior year.
